Exposure to sunlight, hormonal influences and ageing can cause an increase in melanin production and trigger hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation appears as dark patches and age spots (also known as sun spots) that make skin look uneven.
Eucerin® Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum brings together two powerful active ingredients that work in different ways:
• Thiamidol®: an effective and patented ingredient that acts at the root cause of hyperpigmentation by reducing melanin production from day 1 with first visible results in 2 weeks with regular use. It is clinically and dermatologically proven to reduce all types of dark spots and prevent their re-appearance. Maintain a long-lasting even skin with regular use.
• Concentrated Hyaluronic Acid: one of skin’s most effective moisturising substances helps skin to attract and retain moisture. It helps to smoothes fine lines and wrinkles, provides radiance and a firmer skin feeling.
• Licochalcone A: powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing ingredient. It is derived from the root of the Chinese Licorice plant (Glycyrrhiza Inflata) which uses natural compounds to protect its cells from excessive sunlight. When used in skincare products, Licochalcone A works to reduce inflammation and neutralize free radicals that stimulate melanin production and aggravate pigment spots.

Among other clinical and dermatological studies, a Product in Use (PIU) study was conducted with 120 women aged between 25 and 55. They reported the following results after four weeks of regular use:

Can I use Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum alongside other Eucerin moisturizers or will it only deliver results if used with the moisturizers in the Even Pigment Perfector range?
For best results in terms or reducing hyperpigmentation we recommend that you use Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum once a day and in combination with other products in our Even Pigment Perfector range. The serum will still work if used with other moisturizers, it’s just that it may well take longer for you to see results.
If you experience hyperpigmentation but it is not your primary skin-aging concern then you may want to apply Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum before one of our anti-aging care products such as:
- Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Day SPF 30 and Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Night which plump up fine lines and deep wrinkles for a rejuvenated look
- Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Volume Lift Day SPF15 for dry skin or Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Volume Lift Day SPF 15 for normal to combination skin and Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Volume Lift Night which plump up deep wrinkles and redefine facial contours for a lifting effect

Can I use both Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum and Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Spot Corrector at the same time?
Yes, you can. Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum is effective at boosting the results of the Even Pigment Perfector day and night creams on your whole face, neck and décolleté. Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Spot Corrector has been specially formulated to fade individual, smaller areas of concern. The two products work well together but you should only use a maximum of four applications of products containing Thiamidol per day.
You could use one in the morning followed by Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Day SPF 30 and the other in the evening followed by Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Night, or you could use both at the same time followed by the appropriate day or night cream. If you apply both together, use the serum first, then the spot corrector followed by the appropriate care product.
Can I use Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum instead of a moisturizer?
Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum contains concentrated Hyaluronic Acid which improves skin moisturization. It has been formulated to boost the effectiveness of our pigment-reducing moisturizers. For best results we recommend that you use it in combination with other products in the Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector range.
Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum does not protect skin from the sun. As the sun’s rays are a key contributor to hyperpigmentation it’s important to wear an appropriate sun protection product, even on cloudy days. We recommend that, if you apply Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum in the morning, you follow it with Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Day SPF 30 to help fade existing acne marks and protect skin from the sun, thereby reducing further sun-induced pigmentation issues. For intense sun exposure choose a higher protection factor from the Eucerin sun protection range.
